REGION: Helena National Forest TITLE: McDonald Pass
NOTES: West of Helena, the McDonald Pass area has 25km of trails with 12km groomed weekly by the local nordic club.
To reach the trailhead, travel west from Helena on Highway 12 approximately 14 miles to the parking area on the north side of Highway 12. Parking is provided just off of Highway 12, and the trail starts at the north end of the parking area.
