REGION: Tug Hill State Forest TITLE: Rodman - Barnes Corner Ski Trail
NOTES: Between Syracuse and Watertown east of Rodman, the Tug Hill Plateau has more snow annually than any other region east of the Rockies. In the 12,000 acre Tug Hill State Forest, there is the 10 mile Rodman/Barnes Corners Cross Country Ski Trails. This system has 5 loop passing through nice pines. The trails connect to the Worth Cross Country Ski Trails in Jefferson County Forest via the Link Up Trail.
To reach the trailhead from Watertown, head south on US81 to Exit 42. Proceed east on SR177 for 10 miles to the trailhead which is about 1 mile west of Barnes Corners.
